step

2

Complete the registration form

First time licences require you to provide basic details about your dog as well as your contact information. This not only allows us to ship you your dog's tag, it’s also used to reunite you with your dog if they are ever lost.

You will be required to pay a fee for each of your dogs' licences. Please see the fee schedule below.

Licence Type Fee
Spayed/Neutered $36.70
Under 6 Months $36.70
Fertile $63.10
Spayed/Neutered
(post expiry)
$52.50
Fertile
(post expiry)
$78.90

We only accept cheques by mail. If you are visiting one of our vendor locations you may pay by cash, cheque, debit or credit card. Please make all cheques payable to the City of St. Catharines.

Mail your form to:

50 Church St
PO Box 3012
St. Catharines ON L2R 7C2

OR drop it off at one of the vendor locations listed above.

After your registration and payment has been received and processed our records will be updated to reflect an active licence status and your tags will be shipped within one business day from being entered in our system.

It is important to note that mailed and in-person applications are not always entered into our system immediately and this will often delay the shipment of your dog's tag. If you would like to ensure your dog's licence application is processed right away please license online, or by phone.

You will be sent an email with a receipt and link to activate your online account where you can upload more information about your dog. If you do not have an email, your activation code will be mailed to you along with your dog's tag. Please note that you will need a valid email to setup your online DocuPet profile.
